2008 Sea Doo RXT-X Gelcoat buffing

I just bought this ski and there are some scuffs and scrapes. I would like to buff these out, but I do not want to make it worse. This thing is silver and looks like metal flake paint. My question is is this in the gelcoat or is there some type of sealant coat that has the sparkle in it. I do not want to buff through this coat if it is not part of the gel coat.

Does anyone know anything about this? John

I see this product on gelcoat.ca so I am believing that the metallic is in the gelcoat. can anyone confirm this? I also have a 2001 GTX with what looks like the same gelcoat and there are places where the metallic look is gone.
