My unit when starting, needs the forward reverse lever finessed to get it to start. I already cleaned the key and tried the learner key. I get my two beeps but just the relay clicking. Once i pull it just out of forward by an RCH it fires right up.......I do not see any switch there or aft of the machine.... Thoughts!!!

I have a 2008 Challenger 180 doing the same thing. It can take me 5 to 10 minutes playing with the shifter to get started. I'm new to jet boat life so not sure what's going on with it.

Ok, so with mine, the guy told me it was a neutral safety switch... not a thing on the jet ski. Turns out it is the starter solenoid and it was a coincidence that the thing started when fiddling with shifter. Yours however does have a micro switch for neutral. Either at the shifter or back by motor/motors. Look by shifter first. Should be a cover on front or side to open. If you see some low voltage wires in there follow em up to the switch. Probably just needs adjustment
