I just bought this.. was looking inside the compartment.. inside , above the battery is a 1/4 inch rubber hose.. connected to a small connection on the inside top side of the hull. The other end is not connected and is just laying next to the battery. Next to where its connected is another hose connection, but nothing is connected to it. (EDIT) There are two round holes on the outside just below the bumper.. one is tellow, the other is black... about 3 inches apart... what are they for and where should the other end of this hose connect inside the hull?

you got me... but does it connect somewhere? right now it just lays at the base of the battery.. such a small 1/4" opening on the end of the hose.. i was wrong about the other connection.. tahing a closer look , it looks solid... and theres no vent on the outside... \connects right to a fitting into the fiberglass.....

Yup! That's the battery vent hose. It should connect on the side of the battery in the middle, you'll see a little nipple on the battery you can slide the vent hose onto.

Thanks, the battery was just replaced, Im not sure if its stock, but i will look a little closer... The forums show the other nipple as possible a gas vent, but on the inside , it does not appear open or have an hoses nearby unconnected!!!

my guess is that the battery was replaced with a sealed battery and the vent hose is fine just laying there. The fittings that go through the hull have check valves in them, everything sounds normal, go ride it.
