I am new to the forum and look forward to getting to know everyone. I am also new to owning a PWC. I purchased a 2008 GTI SE 130 with 115 hours last week. The engine compartment is supper clean, almost like new condition. I was on the water yesterday and had taken a break in the middle of the lake. Then I went to start the ski back up it would turn over but not start. Then it would turn over and stop turning after about 3 seconds. Finally I got it started and headed back to shore and then home. Got home and had the same issue. It would beep quickly two times as it should and then would turn over for 3 seconds or so and then just go dead. Once I got it running again, it would beep one long beep which last about 2 seconds. This would happen about every 20 seconds as it ran.
I took my meter to the battery and it read 12.4v, the battery is newer. I noticed the contacts that you contact to the battery have a green color to them and a little white. I then took my meter and tested what reading I was getting on the contacts and it read less than 1v.
Is there a way I should clean the contracts? Should I use the grease that I purchase from the automotive store and apply to my car battery terminals? Any ideas or suggestions would be very much appreciated, thank you!
