When I was on the lake the other day my 155hp speedster started to act pretty crazy. I was doing top seed and all seemed ok, but when I wanted to slow down the throttle wouldn't / didn't respond. I had to pull off the key to come to stop.

I tried to start it up again but as soon as I did the shifter would go into reverse all by it self and it would go top speed (8k RPMs).

I had to swim it to shore and now I am going to take it in to get fixed!

When the boat is off and if you move the shifter ( forward >> neutral >> reverse), it seems abnormally noisy now.

Anybody know what’s going on or have experienced anything like this before?

Wow! Sorry to hear that dude.
It appears to me that it has something to do with the foward/reverse shifter bowl in the rear of the boat? (am I making any sense?)...
You know how when you move the foward or reverse lever, the bowl in the back of the jet directs the water pressure... see what happens when you move it manually with someone else shifting the lever? Maybe its stuck, or there's a bend or missing piece?
Do you or have you ever done submarines on this boat?
