2007 RXT surging/miss firing

My Rxt seems to be running on 2 cylinders at times. I was thinking it was a clogged injector or a bad coil. After about 10 minutes of driving at low power, I feel the 3rd cylinder start to fire and surge on and off. Eventually it feels like it clears or starts running smooth with plenty of power. The ski has about 37hrs on it and has a rebuilt SC. This occurred before and after the SC rebuild.

What is the best way to figure out which cylinder has the problem.

Did you try changing the spark plugs ? A look at them will tell you which cylinder if any is misfiring.

A misfire will cause a hard stutter while things like a leaking intercooler will cause surging or soft bogging.

I have had both.

I will have to pull the plugs and check them.

IT feels like a switch is flipping on and off. first only getting 6200rpm then it will go up to 8000 and take off like a rocket. thats why I was thinking a coil or injector

That sounds like a coil to me. I bought 1 coil on mine, looked at the plugs, cyl one looked slightly different so started there. The plan was to rotate if the issue continued. So far, it seems I hit the right one as my stutter is gone.
