Hey guys, I've got a 2007 GTI here that I'm not getting fuel to. When I connect key I can hear the injection system run but it obviously is not allowing injectors to fire. I am getting good fire to plugs and we just installed a brand new cdi/MPEM or whatever their called now from dealer and had them program key. Not sure what happened to old cdi, it just stopped acknowledging key. Anyway any help would be greatly appreciated. I know you guys can point me in the right direction... you always do!
Thanks,

Purchase or rent an Adjustable Noid Lamp. This will let you confirm if the injector is being told to turn on or not.. I'll post a pic in a second for you...

This model is adjustable, nice as it will fit ANYTHING,, cars or skis..

Not getting the TURN ON info from the MPEM. Does not mean it is the MPEM, but most likely it is. Certainly check for any bad fuses and connections.

Ok, checked all fuses and connections, all good and clean as a pin. He just bought a new MPEM from dealer last week and had it programmed but you know that doesn't mean anything.... Something else I just found out is that there was a whole quart of oil too much in engine. Is there any type of sensor that would prevent it from running? I pulled out extra quart and it still didn't start but I was just curious.

Did the dealer have the ski or just the MPEM. Specifically, has it run since the new MPEM? And, why was the MPEM replaced? Specifically, was there a no start or no crack issue for example.

Ok I just got the FULL STORY. The ski started running very bad then after sitting for awhile it would not start or beep or anything. He bought a USED MPEM off ebay that is guaranteed to work. He took it and ski to dealer and had them swap it out and program it. It still would not start and the dealer told him it was a fuel issue. That's when I got it. The ski will turn over, spark plugs fire and fuel pump is pumping properly. I'm getting voltage to injectors.

test the fuel pump for pressure and make sure it is up to spec. a fuel pump can run but if low on pressure the fuel injectors will not fire. the spec should be in the repair manual.

Update if anyone cares...
After removing the extra quart of oil and replacing spark plugs is running again. I have never seen any type of machine 100% not run with bad plugs. I've had them barely run but never totally not. Oh well at least I have a noid lite tester now.

I just had my daughter flip one of ours today. Filled the hull 1/2 full of water. Had it's sister Ski fill the hull when tuned pipe came loose a month ago. I knew exactly what to do when i got it home! E- box full of water, high water mark on computer, starter wet, carburetor cables and oil pump cable wet. Fogged engine and intake. Removed water from E-Box and sprayed with WD-40. Sprayed everything else with WD-40. Air gunned everything to remove water. Tomorrow we run it hard for a few hours to make sure no water is in the engine.
