2006 GTI SE Engine Serial Number

Went to register the Sea-Doo today and was turned away by the County for a couple of reasons, one of which was they had to have the engine serial number. Does anyone know where that might be marked on the 4-Tec engine off hand? Also, is the engine made by BRP or another manufacturer?

Engine plate is on the front by the gas tank about half way down the block you might need an inspection mirror to read the numbers. Engine is made by Rotax.
