If you jump the coil with a screw driver and it turns the starter you have a bad coil.They do seem to go bad often.My dealer had 35 of them on the shelf.Plug in the $40.00 and you should be fine.If it does not turn over the starter by jumping the 2 red wires on the coil then you may have other problems
