I have checked all the fuses in front and they look fine. I have heard there are some fuses near the engine, but I could not find any. Could someone please help?

What engine, and do you have a copy of the shop manuals?

On my 2001 185 w/200 Optimax, there is a fuse block on the starboard side of the engine (see pics), but not sure any of these fuses affect this. The shop manual shows them as:
  • SmartCraft Data Bus Circuit 15 Ampere Fuse
  • Accessories 20 Ampere Fuse
  • Ignition Coil 20 Ampere Fuse
  • ECM Driver/Oil Pump/Electric Fuel Pump Circuit 20 Ampere Fuse
  • The fuse in the center is a spare, if I remember correctly
In the fuse box inside the helm, Fuse 1 is a 3A fuse that supplies gauges. Wire W1 is purple and should be the supply if you want to unplug and test with a meter. W11 is also purple and should be the load side. I don't think I have those reversed, but I might. See pics... I just realized my blower fuse is the wrong value... damn!

Lastly, there are fuses coming off the main disconnect switch. You have to take the cover off to access it. There is one 7.5amp fuse on the battery side of the disconnect, and that goes to the bilge pump. Then on the downstream side of the disconnect, there should be three 20A fuses (depending on boat model?), each going to a different part of the fuse block in the helm. See pics

That's the best I can do... happy hunting! Hopefully others here will correct me where necessary. Make sure to get the shop manuals if you don't have them.

Tony
