Ski runs great but rpms stop exactly at 6000 on the dot. They bounce between 5990 and 6000, but never higher. Was wondering if anyone had any ideas, my dad rode it and he said it feels like something is electrically stopping it from revving higher. Almost like it was a learner key.

I think learner key goes up to about 45 mph but don`t know the RPM`s, I would check supercharger slip with your finger by pulling the supercharger intake hose off and try to spin it with your finger first, if good, Check with a Candoo Pro or shop to check what type of key is program and last when was the supercharger rebuild, 100 hrs or 2 years whichever comes first, like my neighbor had a 2006 with 79 hrs he thought it was not due for a rebuild until ski lock up at 80 hrs in another state on vacation, (Supercharger let go).

Supercharger is good. Ski has not been used in a few weeks, now I got it out on the water- it stopped at 6000 rpms. Then started sputtering and stalled out. It restarted but was misfiring like crazy. Then streaked out again and will no longer start.

Did some basic diag. Found it not getting spark to any cylinders. Fuel is good. Air flow is good. Tried known good coils and still no spark. Any ideas?

Always start with spark plugs
Did that, as stated there's no spark coming out of the coils. And swaped with known good coils also. Seems like computer is not making the coils fire.

(Just a FYI I am a mechanic. Just dont have scanner for seadoo so can't check things other then basics without some background or technical diagrams)

SeaDoo ECU works if there is no fuel delivery than no spark or vice versa, so to be 100% sure you will need CanDoo Pro or BUDS. Also you can check fuel pressure on fuel line at Valve with cap on it and the specs in the Owners Manual (I think it's 58psi for supercharged).

It has fuel pressure and injectors are good. My dad and I are debating on getting the candoo vs taking it to service shop

CanDoo Pro is a great diagnostic tool to work with, you can trigger the spark or injectors to determine what's wrong, I bought my second ski from a friend that has CanDoo Pro program to it, but that ski runs good, my another ski parts always breaking, Can you blog or check your area if someone has the unit and you just pay for the license.
