2005 RXT-Help needed with RPM problem

After this last winter, my 2005 RXT started running rough and not up to standard RPM levels. I took the ski to the shop and they found nothing wrong so just replaced the plugs and an oil change. When I put the ski back into the water, it ran rougher and started smoking, so back to the shop I go. This time, they diagnos water in the oil and plugs. Say no one had heard of this problem (apparently they didn't look at many forum posts and neither did I). Finally, they said they located a crack in the intercooler and replaced. Now no water in oil or plugs but the ski is still only pulling around 5500 RPM's. They have supposedly ruled out the supercharger and are at a loss.

This shop has only had the SD dealership for around 18 months and even with the problems that I have experienced, they far exceed the former holder of the dealership. However, they have had my ski now almost a 6 weeks and I'm getting tired of hearing how they are researching the problem!

Would love to hear of any possible solutions, or the name and contact infor for a QUALIFIED service tech or dealer in the Southeastern TN area.

HELP!

Uhhmmm... only things I know of that can limit the max rpm's are:

1). using the Learner key
2). a non-functioning Supercharger (but I wouldn't expect to lose THAT many rpm's!)
3). far too much oil in the crankcase
4). the throttle cable being out of adjustment
5). low compression on 1 or more cylinders.

Also pull the jetpump out and inspect it... you could have a rope wrapped up in there, which can drag down rpm's. It's a long shot but only takes a few minutes to pull it and inspected it for foreign objects wrapped up in there.
