Hey everyone,

This 2005 SEADOO RXT was abandoned by a neighbor of mine and from what it looks like probably some engine parts are missing(or at least are there but not in working condition) and based on registration which it expired in 2011 probably didn't run since than.
I'm new to jet skies and is hard for me to understand if this ski has potential and it's something I can work on.
From photos attached (*not the best quality) do you think it can be fixed and run again? Any suggestions will very helpful.

Alex.

I'm still new to this Sea Doo thing also, but only thing I can tell you is, I hope you're some what of a mechanic, and then there is that $$ figure to throw at it. Looks like a turbo. That may have to be rebuilt, jet pump taken apart and looked at, hope the fuel system isn't gunked up, and will the engine at least turn over?

I am very new to the Marine world and not in step with today's engines. In my opinion, unless you are handy and willing to spend some time on this (and money), I'd run like hell from it. I can't imagine any engine that has sat for 6 years will only require a few tweaks, fixes or replaced parts. And thats just the engine. What about the rest of the components and their conditions? Everything has potential if you have the time and money to fix it.

you have about corrosion on the wire harness probably will have to replace it's definitely been in saltwater . Also think about how the corrosion will effect all sensors

If you got the time its possible . Pull the engine go through it clean the bilge . Anything is do able
