2005 RXT 215 Oil light coming on

Hey all
The past 2 times I had the ski out, the oil light came on & power was cut. This would only happen within the first 10 minutes of riding (while giving it throttle not idling) and once the engine was warm it wouldn’t happen anymore. The most recent time it happened twice within the first ten minutes. I haven’t looked into it further than checking the oil, in which it was there it needed to be (and clean). Also as of recent, it sounds as if it’s struggling to start up on the first start of the day, but turns right over when warm & even after sitting for 2-3 hours. I’ve had the ski in salt water a handful of times, but the rest of its life from what i understand has been ridden in fresh/brackish water. Unsure of what the oil light could mean. Any ideas?

possibly a bad oil sensor? struggling to start on first start could be a bad battery or a slow battery drain that charges back up when running. Have the battery load tested at a parts store. If it checks OK, the next time you park it pull the 30amp fuse. place it back when you go to start it next time that may tell you if it has a slow drain while parked.

Press set 5 times while it is happening and then you will know what the problem is

Best thing to do is replace the two oil pressure switches to the latest ones
They are a known issue on pre 4tec 2006 skis
