The Op. Manual states no synthetics for a Sc 4Tec, Parker Yamaha says the 4strok4temp Sae 10w40 has been replaced with a syn blend.

What gives? currently I have BRP's 4 Stroke 4 temp Sae
10w40 in the ski's and am not interested in rebuilding/replacing the SC's in them until absolutely necessary.

Can someone clarify this for me?

Last year, Seadoo came out with a new synthetic oil that is suppose to be safe for the supercharged motors. I read the update that was brought in by a member but for the life of me, can't relocate it.

If you had this done professionally at a shop, you have the paper work to validate that someone else is responsible for the Synthetic oil.

The last time I looked at the requirements, Seadoo was still requiring a mineral oil in the SC motors. But, I have no idea on the date of that spec sheet......

Actually, the las time I had the oil changed was at a shop, winter 2008 so it was probably the Sae 10W40, since I hadn't been on the water much in 2009 I haven't changed the oil since.

I did find the following, which helps quite a bit.

and

see attached;

I hope it is real.

Anyway, Can I mix them up if I am a little low or do I need to change the oil altogether?
