Evening, like a lot of us this time of year, pulled the GTX out of storage and did the usual preseason checkout. Fired up fine and ran fine. Got it on the water and got an alarm light and buzzer. Pulled a P0461 code and started my troubleshooting. Pulled the connector on the fuel tank and read the resistance to the sending unit. Read around 10 ohms with a full tank. Connections on that end were very clean. Pulled the connectors on the MPEM end and checked for corrosion too, nothing. Cleaned all the battery terminals and reassembled. Now I am getting a low fuel warning but the tank is quite full. Seems to be pointing to the sending unit itself. Anything else I should check? If it is the sending unit, and I will pull it tomorrow, is it worth trying to repair or should I just replace it? Kinda pricey to replace the entire fuel module. Any help is appreciated.

Just a quick update- after a year of hearing the alarm go off and the P0461 code popping up, I decided everything had been done and/or replaced that could be the problem. Found a brand new MPEM locally for a reasonable price and decided to swap it out. After the 10 minute swapout, fired it up and no alarm and the gas gauge works as it should. Not sure what part of the MPEM went bad, but it definitely was the problem.
