Hello, today I purchases A 2004 Sportster LE DI. Test drive today everything ran good. The day before we test drove it and it was only going about 25 mph and a beeping sound kept going off every few minutes. He fixed it, and everything was good today. So after I bought it we took it out and the same thing happened the day before yesterday when I drove it. Would only go 15-20 mph and that annoying beeping sound went off again. So I called him and he said it had something to do with the seadoo not reading the fuel or something like that and it was a minor problem that he would fix for free. Anyways Im just seeing if anyone has any input and if this sounds like a minor problem or a big problem. Thanks in advance.

It's probably overheating, and going into limp mode.

Since it's a Di engine... you should be able to get the code, and see what's wrong.

Thanks, that what he is doing tomo. The people I bought it from are good people, and it's a dealer. Just a little frustrated cause I bought it today and it's already have problems, got me a little nervous, ha. But I saw a similar thread to mine and one guy said the same thing was happening and alittle bit of white smoke was comming out and thats the exact same thing that happend to me, some white smoke as well. But hopefully when I bring it back tomo all will be good.

Bummer man. After he 'fixed' it the first time, how long did you drive the boat for without the error condition occurring?

It happend instantly...beeping started as a put more throttle and would not go more than 20 mph. He said it is the gas sensor? or something like that, I really am new to boats. But that same day we test drove it and everything was fine. So It doesent make much sense to me. I just dropped it off to him, and he said he will have it fixed tomo morning. I hope.
