2004 SeaDoo XP DI Question

Hey guys, new here and relatively new to the jet ski world.

I just got a new ski and the 2nd time i put it in the water, the MAINT V12 LOW light came on. I googled it and see its the battery is low apparently. Would i be best suited to get a new battery or what are my reasonable and simple options. Im not mechanically inclined by any means.

Yup probably need a new one if your current one has lost charge. Those little batteries don't hold up well after they have been drained. Best to pick up a trickle charger too and keep ur new battery charged

Thanks very much. Are the trickle chargers pretty self explanatory?

Will it matter which battery i get for this? Walmart has cheap ones. And can i also get the trickle charger there.

Yup, walmart one will work as long as it has a 2amp charge (i'm sure it does). Disconect battery and hook up anytime your off the water for more than a day. Hook up red to positive and black to negative on battery and plug it in. Thats it

Just so you know others have had your problem and it turned out not to be the battery but a trickle charger is needed for anyone who owns a jet ski and doesn't want to buy a battery every month. Check out this thread http://www.seadooforum.com/showthread.php?t=33365
