2004 gts 185 sc low top speed. any ideas?

Hey guys,

I picked up a 2004 seadoo 185 ltd supercharged last fall. Top speed is only 50 mph. rpm at 7100. I know it should be higher. Acceleration is perfect. I installed a new wear ring at the season, hoping it would solve my issue. But it's the same. I noticed the impeller has some dings and a few small chunks missing at the tips. Would this cause the top speed and low WOT RPM issue? Thanks. Just want to make sure before i spend big bucks on a new impeller. or should i be looking at something else?

A picture helps but even small damages to the leading edge can have significant loss of performance of the machine.

If they are small enough to file out, that is one option. If they are too large, you may need a new impeller.
