The throttle seemed to be pretty stiff so I went searching for an answer. Disconnected the bucket from the F/R cable and the bucket moved up/down with ease. Checked the throttle linkage and that moved freely once disconnected. Tried to pull the control unit through the speaker hole as stated in the manual, okay that didn't work or I missed the magic word section. I tinkered with the control unit inside the speaker hole and got it put back together. Cable appeared to be in good shape, stiffness is not as much now. My question is more about the operation. Starting in neutral I move the throttle forward to about the 9:30 position, the bucket moves from neutral to fully open, the throttle cam does not move at all. (I had the engine cowl removed, engine off). From 9:30 position to about 7:30 position of the throttle handle moves the throttle cam from idle to fully open. When I put the throttle in reverse the bucket seems to open with proportional to the throttle cam. Is this normal for an older Sea Doo? In the water I can get it up to 43mph.
