2003 Seadoo Gtx Sc. (Constantly thinks the key is connected)

I currently own a 2003 Seadoo Gtx SC and this weekend while I was pulled up on a sandbar I noticed my seadoo was beeping. I went to go look at it and it was acting like the d.e.s.s key was pluged in when it was not. The gauges would start spinning,the display would pop on and then it started beeping like if I put the key in. It would then stop for 30 seconds or so and they do the same thing. It would not stop so when I got back to my slip I decided to unplug the battery. Does anyone know what could be wrong and what has to be done it fix it. Thanks.

There was a recall I think for 2002/2003 (I have an 02) regarding the DESS post not shutting engine off when pulled and/or not reading the key when pushed on. You'd have to search it to see if the issue was the post or MPEM etc but I'd suspect the post
