Got check engine code P0116. Looked it up -- says engine temperature sensor is faulty.

Can you please point me towards a PICTURE showing where it is, and any instructions on how to change it?

ALSO, found a loose hose at the back of the ski. It comes off the nozzle and goes onto a hose barb that sticks vertically through the back of the boat. Looks like the clamp came off, and then the hose came off.

What IS this hose for, and could it be related to P0116?

Thanks!

Steve

You can download the shop manual at seadoomanuals dot net; look under 4-tec engine management. The manuals are very well written and will help you out with your hose question too.

Thanks for the tip on the manual. I downloaded it, but still could not find out what the hose on back end was for.

It looks like it goes to a through the hull fitting, and then splits into two -- one left and one right. I presume it has something to do with cooling, but am not sure. It was disconnected at the through the hull fitting -- assume the hose clamp came off. I replaced the hose and clamped it back on.

Could THIS be the cause of the 0116 problem?

I guess I know for sure when I take it out this weekend, but would like to know "in advance" !

sounds like a hose to siphon the bilge if it sticks into the nozzle and goes into the ski. Not familiar with your ski though.
