2003 GTX super chgedwont start after 20 minutes of sitting in water

Has any one had this problem. the harlingen dealer hasnt been able to solve this. the boat runs great, starts on trailer, starts on water when first put in , will start after turning off within 5-15 minutes while in water. if boat sits for much longer than the 15 minutes or so, then it will not start unless I hold the throttle wide open and after relentless cranking of 4+ minutes it will finally fire. this now happnens every time on the water. does any one know what could be the problem.
past history: I did have the dealership work on the super charge unit, the oil cap was also overtightened and broke causing the oil to be depleted and engine sensors shut the motor down a few times while limping back to shore. I have had the no start problem after these events. dealership say they dont know and not there problem after 4 attemps to correct......I love the craft, need to fix. SPI texas

You shouldnt be able to start the boat when holding it WOT. Hom many hr on it and have you changed the plugs or anything?

Thanks for your note. The plugs were changed. 180 hours, dealer has serviced at regular intervals. Your right, I hold the throttle wide open for 2-4 minutes of cranking in 60 second increments and then try to start with a little throttle. if I get a kick, then the engine will start within a couple of starter turns. this is troublesome as you are not sure of the start and i certainly do not get a quick start as it always did in the past.
is there a back flow valve that could have been damaged or is there a possible heat siphon that could create humidity in the chamber causing the plugs to dampen. All of this began after the oil issue and super charger repair from the dealer.

How much oil did you lose? and how many hrs on the plugs?

the plugs have are 15-20 hours. The oil pumped out a cracked plastic cap and was depleted. the sensors shut down the engine a few times as We yried to get in from out in the ocean. ended up gettingtowed hm.

plue the plugs and see what they look like... and maybe do a compression test while your at it, im not liking the fact the motor was started with no oil after a shut down. I dont care how long it ran for it theres no oil then bad things can happen.

Did I hear it correctly that on the SC models, you do a leakdown test because the compression test is not valid?

Any motor 2 or 4 stroke you can compression test....

I think Joel's got it, do a compression test. You can do a leak down test if the compression test goes well. I suspect compression issue as well.
