Got a code and need to replace two oil sensors. The one on top is easy! Does any one have pics or direction to a prior thread for info on replacing the bottom one? Do I need to drain the oil?

Your feedback is most appreciated!

Hi Dave, you should reference BRP's Training Institute complete 2003 tech bulletins, pages 3-8 & 3-9 go into the failure of both the engine oil pressure switch and the tank oil pressure switch if your getting a 1202 code and check engine versus no code and just being pressed into limp mode that information will help you with the repair and save throwing good money after bad.

If your dealer won't share that information with you send me a pm with your email and I can forward that on to you.

You should have everything you need to get this handled now, after you get with Joe and Dennis does his part LMK if you need any more help we'll get you squared away. He ships priority so you'll have that by the weekend so you can work on them.

Hey guys. I have been having the same problems. Just purchased an 03 gtx SC and having issues with it going into limp mode and solid tone. Also the display reads "OIL". The front oil sensor has been replaced already... thoughts?
thanx bunch

Riverfox, did you ever solve your problem?

Waterluvr, thanks for sharing; BRP included a lot of good information in the technical service bulletin I found.

No i have not yet. Am in the process of looking up a good oil for that ski and going to do an oil change. Other than that i am not sure what to do.

Why didn't ya say so? :) You're in the wrong place for help, go post a new thread on the CDP forums and enjoy the benefits that come with owning one, you'll get the best advice that can be had anywhere Jeff and Dennis make helping you a full time job they really go out of their way to answer any questions you have.

Ok. Based on the TSB that Waveluvr referenced, you probably have a bad oil pressure switch (OPS). You said you have replaced the "front" switch. That's the oil tank pressure switch (OTPS). Based on the latest information you provided ... no code, limp home mode, and oil in the display, you need to verify your oil pressure (it will most likely be good), and then change out the OPS. Search Google for the technical bulletin that Waveluvr referenced, and you'll have all the information you need.
