2002 RX Di

Hey guys. Looking at a 2002 RX DI motor has just been rebuilt as well as the fuel system and the jet pump. Has 136 original hours. He wants 2,700.
I’ve read about the issues with the 951 Di but with everything generally new with it would I be able to expect at least a couple seasons Of problem free running?

Do not buy it without a water test. The Di skis can start on the trailer then not run in the water and you can be out a lot of money.

Assuming it tests good in the water think it’s worth it?

Hard to say as all areas are different and nobody is buying anything with the COVID-19 thing going on.

Jump on it !!! Do a compression test. Ride it for 1/2 hour. $2700 is a good deal. Does it come with a trailer?? How is the body??

Water test it!!! Do your compression test like @etemplet says. If all goes well I would offer $2500. You never know, could get and even better deal!!!

Just a heads up.. Not sure where you are, but jet skis are cheap around me in SE VA. I just paid $700 for an 01 GTX DI running. It just needed the jet pump rebuilt which I did myself. Actually pretty easy.

Wow. I just paid $300 for a 96 ZXI 900 with trailer too. New rotating assembly, pistons, rings and sleeved/bored jugs and all gaskets etc. to put it together. Here's pics of them both. I'm passing up daily deals on others just because I don't need them. Quite a few have been real tempting regardless.

On a side note, I just sold my motorcycle this morning just a bit above asking price....... People are going crazy at home, guess they need to get out and do things......
