Hi guys,

one of my HT leads is a bit loose on my spark plug and was wondering if anyone knew where to get replacements or any that will fit these plugs. It uses NGK ZFR4F-11 plugs. Sometimes when revving I’m getting a sort of back fire and not getting over 24 ish mph but if I slowly accelerate I can get to 42/43mph max. I know I’m burning too much oil and haven’t managed to find anyone here in Glasgow Scotland who can adjust the ratio for me but still on the case!

many knowledge or info would be much appreciated!

But i'm not convinced that will fix your problem. Have you done all the typical DI troubleshooting? Fuel pressure, compression, injector cleaning? Any codes?

yeah that’s the one, I can push down on the boot and feels like it makes a good connection when I do then pops off when I release it, not sure if it’s an issue or not but would like a better connection.
ive not looked at those no, do you have a link to these issues and I’ll have a look, I’ve not had much time to investigate anything if I’m honest and woth it being my first ski I’m not 100% clued up on them but keen to learn!
I like to have a go myself but some things seem too hard, for instance, I know I’m burning too much oil and someone on here pointed me in the right direction to sort that with adjusting a cable on the throttle but access etc isn’t easy so preferably I’d like someone to do that for me. I’ve been instructed to clean the RAVE valves which I’m going to attempt tonight and possibly test at the weekend to see if that helps with performance.

If you have an adjustable Mirror and a good flashlight you can determine if the oil pump setting is correct. On the front of the engine. I know that big ole pipe gets in the way but it isn't ss bad as the RX models. Spend some time and find a way to have a look at it. This is not your ski but those two marks inside the circle should line up with the throttle at idle. 10mm open end wrench and I think you should be able to adjust with your fingers.

As for your performance, I'd do a compression check first, the fuel pressure and air pressure test. I just did a GTX-DI and that area is a pain in the butt to work around. It could be dirty injectors. At least they are easy to pull. If I'm working on an injected ski, first thing is the injectors get pulled and shipped for cleaning and testing. I can't verify their performance so eliminate them as a possible cause. Plus I'm pretty sure no one has cleaned them since they were new. LOL Good Luck !!

ive tried this before with no luck! I’ll give it a try again tomorrow, should the two lines be in line? Which nut should I loosen to adjust it too? I know they may sound like stupid questions but I’m trying to idiot proof it for myself lol as for the injectors I’lltry find out if I can get them tested somewhere local but doubt I’ll be able to find anywhere as nowhere for at least 200 miles will touch a 2 stroke! I’ve taken one of the rave valves out and given it a clean, I noticed the top “screws” were fully down, should they be unscrewed to be flush with the top of the cap? The blade was pretty dirty so I’ve given it a clean and will do the other tomorrow and test her out on Saturday hopefully!

Yes the lines should be "aligned." at idle. If you can look in there you can clearly see. When I get out there to one of the DI's I'll see if I can take a picture but you'll only have to look at the parts to figure it out pretty quick. You adjust the marks at the cable. Loosen the locknut and adjust. Looks like you are busy. :D Lookin Good !!

Thanks for the really clear close up pictures. You did a fantastic job of cleaning all the gunk from the valves! When I adjusted the injector pump on my ski, I had my brother watch the marks with a flashlight and mirror while I adjusted the cable. Having a helper made it much easier and quicker.
