I was told that I have 2 corroded wires in in my main wiring harness which causes it to start intermittently. should I splice or replace harness, and where can I purchase for cheap?

you could splice, make sure you have super good connections-waterproof. or check ebay for a harness

They are saying that the wiring harness I need is discontinued. This is for a 2002 GTX 4- Tec. CAN ANYONE HELP ME ON THIS? I looked for used and there are only 2003 and 2004 available. Will they work?

Start with telling us what 2 wires you're talking about and where on the ski they are located.

This was an older post in which I was still troubleshooting, here is my most recent post: You seem very knowledgeable, I am being told by numerous sources, that the wiring harness I need is discontinued(part # 278001607). This is for a 2002 GTX 4Tec. CAN ANYONE HELP ME ON THIS? I looked for used online and there are only 2003 and 2004 available. Will they work? Why would they discontinue a part on an 8 year old machine. The shop tells me I have three choices: 1.Build my own harness (seems intense), 2. Buy a used one (hard to find, not gauranteed), 3. BUY A NEW SKI???? What kind of options are those??

Also, a local seadoo shop said to try changing out the two wires that were bad (B27-B28 from ECU). Did that, now my gauge does not work, it starts, getting long beep code, but also have an issue where it is wetting the plugs, I find myself changing them frequently, every 6-15 hours of continuous riding. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! I need some expert advice, please!!

B27 and B28 are communication wires that run between the ECU and the MPEM. You have apparently fixed the problem or the ski wouldn't run at all.
The beep is trying to tell you your gauge is inop. Did you blow the fuse?
If the fuse is OK then remove the gauge (pops out the front) and check the connection and see if there is any water inside the gauge. Circuits 1-10 and 1-11 are the communication wires from the MPEM and the gauge. Look at those wires for corrosion at the MPEM.
Most dealers have a way of checking to see if another dealer in the country has the part you need. Just because it's discontinued and can't be ordered doesn't mean it's not sitting on a shelf somewhere.

Thank you, you really know what you are talking about. I will check fuse tommorrow. Now the wires I replaced (B27, B28) I ran all the way back to the mpem and changed them there as well. Not sure if I did a complete, thourogh job, but if you say it is working then fine. Let me throw this at you, my plugs seem to be getting wet on this same machine (not fouled, as the plugs seem to be in descent shape, I'll enclose pic next post), I have to change every 6-15 hours. What is this indicative of? Thanks again for all your help and knowledge.

oh, by the way, there is some condensation in the front display of the gauge, so I would imagine there could be some water on it.

Even though it starts, it dosen't start like my other one. It takes a few cranks. This is not good. I'm thinking the plugs are getting too much fuel and preventing a start up, because when I change the plugs with new ones, it cranks right up
