2002 Challenger smokes a lot!

My 2002 240efi challenger smokes a ridiculus amount at start up and when
traveling say 5-10 mph through a no wake zone. Otherwise it runs great.
Solutions?

Are you still running the injection setup, or premixing? If you're running premix it's something you'll have to live with unfortunately. If you are still running the injection setup make sure the timing marks on the oil pump to throttle link rod is lined up.

240 EFI smoke

I use synthetic AIMSOIL HP Injector oil. It seems to help. Also make sure the oil/fuel ratio adjustment is correct. It's a real pain to get to the adjustment. I had to hang upside down to get to it. Also make sure the spark plugs are good. I also use 91 octane just for good measure.

Besides waxing is there anything repairable without hanging upside down in marine world? I was a blo-boater for 25 years before getting jetski/boat and always snickered at the shoes and feet sticking up in the air, I told my kids you have to train in transylvania to be a marine mechanic.
