2002 Bombardier GTI Won’t Stay Running

I have a 2002 Bombardier GTI that won’t idle or stay running. It starts up just fine, but requires an immense amount of throttle pumping to even stay running for more than 20 seconds. After 10-20 seconds, pumping the throttle barely keeps the jetski running and then the ski eventually quits. The ski worked fine before an incident where I ran out of gas and the ski tipped almost 90°, but did not flip over. Since then, I’ve rebuilt the carburetor, flushed the gas tank, and blew out the hoses. With every start of the ski, the fuel filter under the steering is completely full. When I pull out the spark plug there is little to no gas. I am stumped. I have reason to believe the carburetor is the issue, but not entirely sure. Thank you for any help you can offer!

Did you rebuild using Genuine Mikuni parts and follow the Carb Rebuild Sticky exactly?

We rebuilt it using a rebuild kit from online. The ski has been rebuilt multiple times with that same product and worked just fine previously. I don’t believe it was fully genuine Mikuni, but was branded to be compatible. Also, we did follow the sticky.

OKAY,,,End of story,,,in the last 3 weeks I have had 3,,,carb issues,,,yamaha tripple,,,96 gtx,,,and now an 1800 challenger,,,where the owner, or mechanic used aftermarket,,,only headaches,,,EOS.

Point taken, I’ve ordered a genuine rebuild kit and I will follow the sticky. Is there anything else i could be looking for while waiting for the kit?

The kit usually comes with 1 spring,,,check the site,,,to,see what spring it is,,,here it is the silver 65 gm spring,,,too soft...too low,,,check your csrb specs for the correct spring size,,,you will pay extra for it,,(2),,,something to keep in mind,
