Hello all. I read this forum all the time, but have never posted. I recently put in a rebuilt SES engine in my 2001 xp. I rebuilt the carbs with genuine Mikuni kit. It runs awesome except right after initial start up, it will bog down. I have to feather the throttle to get it going, but after that it runs fine, no hesitation, crisp acceleration. If I shut it down for even a minute or two, same thing, it bogs on initial start. It runs fine after it clears out. Any thoughts? Low speed screws? I tried adjusting them in a little with no avail.
Thanks

Did u replace the needles and seats. It sounds like your flooding and having to clear it out each time. A temporary fix is to shut your fuel off every time you turn it off.

Yes, I replaced needles and seats with after market ones. I’ll try shutting off fuel to see if this helps.
Thank you!

I did leak down test, and they held pressure. Maybe I’ll try turning in low screws a bit more?
Thanks
