I purchased the candoo pro and bought a new tps. I dont understand when I back the idle screw all the way out and reset the tps it doesnt read 0. When I reset it with the idle backed all the way out and then give it 3 turns in tps is reading high 10-12. Shouldnt it read 0 when its at 0? With the idle backed all the way out tps reads 4.8. Going out of my mind with this rfi!

i also have an rfi and plan on buying a candoo pro soon, go to the candoo web sight and join the forum and post your issue there, mayber they can shed some light. let us know what you find.
heres a thought. while you have the candoo setup move the throttle up and down a few times then try resetting again and see if that works.

It doesn't go to 0. It goes to around 4.2-4.7 after you back out screw than you hit reset. After you hit reset you turn the screw about 3 times. Than take to water to adjust to in water idle setting. I am not sure on your but I have a 99 gsx rfi and it is 1400 +/- 50 in water idle. Hope it helps

Here is what i got from candoo tech: Your doing it right... It stores the value it displays as the offset, to get a zero reading.

They normally reset to 4.6 to 4.8, the RFI stores this value into the ECU and sends back to the screen the value it reset to. When you run the idle screw in, it will normally be around 7. You actually run it in 3 turns, stick it in the water and adjust to 1500 RPM +/- 100 RPM.

closed tps (meaning no throttle)
access the bosch system in the MPEM programmer, then select "adjustment" in the sub menu, choose "close tps" in the adjustment menu ....screen will display
the actual adjustment of the tps and will also offer to adjust it
AT THIS POINT< DO NOT SELECT YES , UNTIL IDLE SCREW IS LOOSENED, AND IDLE SCREW IS LOOSENED UNTIL THROTTLE PLATE IS COMPLETELY CLOSED .....
now, goose the throttle a few times, and make sure it is completely closed ....
now, select yes and it will automatically adjust the closed throttle setting to the new setting ....
NOW,
access the bosch system, in the MPEM programmer, THEN SELECT REAL TIME...(in the sub menu), and turn your idle screw approx 2 turns, and watch the tps setting till it reaches 6 or 7 degrees , this will approximately make your idle speed correct, (it will need to be set in the water at approximately 1500 rpms give or take 50 ....

now, this is the procedure, read it over a few times, before you ever try and do it ...i always read people say its like 4 degrees, mine is like 8 degrees, well, if it is, something is wrong, or you didn't switch programmer to real time,
after the first part is achieved, and you switch screen to real time, ...YOUR CLOSED TPS SETTING IS DONE. ...the 2 turns and 6-7 degrees always confuses people, and it is there to let you put an allen head socket in 1 hand, watch the screen till you get to 6 or 7 degrees, and have a basic preliminary setting .....

now, this being said, i am not ever going to type all this out again, so, you all can copy and paste it and save it your notes ......

So I finally got it running long enough for Candoo to get a good reading. It showed a fault occurred with the CPS. Does anyone know what symptoms a bad CPS will be. Already replaced a TPS that was fine. I ohm'd the CPS and was within specs.

I'm pretty sure the candoo always shows the CPS as faulty. You can go on the candoo forum and double check, but I think that always shows up.
