I just picked up this machine a week or so ago from an individual who had it as their "backup ski". The machine has only 39.5 hours on it and had been winterized and spent the last 5 years sitting in the warehouse of the owners.

Yesterday I finally had some free time to dive into looking things over. The machine has been run in brackish water so I figured there was some buildup in the cooling system and sure enough there was. In the attached photo all the hoses in blue I can verify are free and clear. The pathway to the head, hoses in red. is severely blocked. I tried to push air through that hose with no movement of air at all. I then pushed a piece of wire through the hose to the 90 that goes into the head and when pulled out it had a white grease looking substance on the end of the wire. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips to try to breakup this blockage?

Simply remove the fitting from the head and make sure it is clear. I always disconnet the cooling lines and check for good flow. I blow a little air through the hoses and system... gently.... nothing high perssure. When you get good air flow you can flush the system with water with the engine started. Good Luck.
