HI, A friend of mine has a 2001 gtx rfi that i had thought about buying from him. Summer before last he was riding it and it just quit and wouldn't start back. He thought the engine had locked up. So towards the end of last summer I got it and found out the engine is fine charged the battery and done a few other things and finally got it going. However it runs fine, good rpms, good speed but after a while of riding it will cut off and not crank back for 30 minutes or more. I could never figure it out. When it cuts off allit will do is beep and if you listen closely you can hear some clicking noise coming from the electrical box in the bow, which has been replaced. Some have said it could just be a bad battery, i have heard rectifier. Do you guys have any ideas ? I could get this ski for cheap but don't want to have something that I can rely on.
