I have a feeling this is a common problem. My oil tank is leaking where the 2 halves are seamed together. Has anybody had any luck repairing these. Has anybody tried “SEAL- ALL”?
Thanks Jim
They are Polypropylene. There isnt' a glue made that will stick it together. Either get a new one... or, take it out... clean it VERY well... and get a plastic welder to seam it up.
OK thank you. My tank has HDPE molded into it. I thought that was for high density polyethylene? Whatever the case is apparently there isn’t a sealant that works on them thank you.

I had some luck by melting a 1/4" polypropylene line on the seam. I had some laying around from a refrigerator repair I did. You can get it at Home Depot for a few bucks. You light it and it burns and melts then drip it on the seam like candle wax. Since the tank is polypropylene it fuses together. No leaks, and I did the fitting also.
