hey guys,

alright so monday i flipped my jet ski and water got sucked in the motor i managed to get all the water out and get it started and took it on the lake twice to get it lubed up but it just doesnt have near the same power its dropping rpms and just wont go and if i do a hard spin.. thinking that would help the lubing its even worse ...i changed the spark plugs but this was before it started(while the motor was still spitting watery gas ) so they might be messed up ?
is it the carb ?
please any suggestions would be helpful
thank you ahead of time

Did you pull the plugs and turn over the engine to get any water in the cylinders out? To do so pull the plugs and crank for 10 secs then wait for 10-20 seconds and crank again.

As soon as it started... it would have expelled all the water.

All I can say to do is to check the compression. If you were reving VERY high when it flipped... you could have sucked enough water into the engine to bend a rod. It's not common... but a compression test will help us know.

ok i will do that but if it was a bent rod would it still run ?

soo you dont think its the carb cause i heard they can get clogged from cranking so many times when i was getting the water out ?
