I have a 2000 xp 951cc. Just put a fresh top end in it. I ran it for 1/2 hour. Checked the plugs, they are very dark brown to black. It has a slight bog in when punched from a fixed throttle position. It feels like it is running rich, and the plugs say that it is. What is a good method for adjusting the jetting??

I cleaned them when I did the top end, I wiped them down. I don't know if there is more to cleaning them than that? What do they do anyway?

If that is not the issue how would I go about adjusting the carbs?
use a razor blade/wire brush to rid the carbon build-up. Did you tear apart the carbs and go thru them/rebuild them?
