2000 Utopia M2 EFI starter continously runs

This boat has been trouble free for the past 3 years. Something strange today. When I turned the main power knob in the back to the ON position, the starter engaged and stayed running until I turned off the main power. The ignition key switch and the lanyard were both in their stop/off positions. I tried turning the key switch a few times to try and "unstick" a contact point, but no luck. The mechanical action of the switch seems fine, but I did not have an ohm meter to see if the switch is faulty or not. The switch is sealed in epoxy and therefore, nothing is visible. I searched the forum, but did not find any instances where the starter runs all the time. I was wondering if anyone has experienced this and could offer some advice. Also, has the ignition switch been a reliable item? Since the switch is sealed, is there benefit to spray electrical cleaner into the key way?
