I just called my local seadoo dealer to see if they know if the oil line tubes are transparent and they told me they don't know. They said the only way they could tell is if I removed it and brought it in. LOL, if I took it out then I would know - without needing to bring it in. Kind of defeats the purpose here.

Anyone know if the oil line tubes are transparent so you can be sure that oil is in the lines?

I replaced my oil tank and wasn't sure whether I needed to bleed my oil lines. About a month ago, I received some good information about this question. Basically, I was told that if no oil escaped between the oil filter and the oil pump I should be ok - and that the air that sits between the oil tank and oil filter would bubble up and out once I poured new oil into the tank.

So I just barely reassembled the whole thing and now I'm scared to death to test start it.

I think I need some assurance on this one. When I stick a mirror down to see the oil line going into the oil pump, it looks completely dark in color. I'm not sure if the oil tube is transparent or a black hose. When I look at the oil filter, it's white and I'm not sure how transparent it is, so I'm not sure if it's suppose to appear dark from the oil. If I look real close at the filter it seems like (though I'm unsure)there is a little bit of an air bubble on the top angle of the filter (The closest end leading toward the oil pump).

I want to take it out today, but I need some assurance that I'm good to go.

I believe they are, but after more than 10 years they will be pretty stained and will have lost most of their transparency.
