This is my first post. I have a 2000 Seadoo Challenger 2000 with the 240 horsepower engine. Boat has never given trouble before. Had boat in storage. Put in the water and it started up first try. Moved away from the dock and boat would not accelerate. Check plugs and found out that cylinder 1 and cylinder 4 did not have spark. Changed coils on both cylinders and still have no spark. Wondering if I should change the ignition control module. Thanks for your help!

Welcome.

This should be in the Merc section... but........

1 and 4 is a magic combination. The finger will get directly pointed at the trigger. (or a wire connected to it) Basically, 1 and 4 are opposite cyl's... and fire 180 degrees out... and use the same trigger.

So... pop the flywheel off, and see what you can see. (and make the post in the Merc section)

Welcome to the forum if you need additional help post in merc section like Dr Honda said will get more eyes and better support.

Cold flywheel located problem immediately. Wires leading to trigger head literally wore into. Put new trigger in was very careful about not to change the setting for the timing boat started immediately just like the old Challenger I've always known. Thank you all so much.
