2000 sea doo GTX starting problems

Hey guys, went out and tried to start my (2000 sea doo gtx) sea doo and only a beeping sound would come on. Engine wouldn’t turn over or even try to start. Just replaced the battery so it’s new, coming on here for possible solutions and fixes.

Did you charge the battery?
You should check the battery voltage. I have seen quite a few new batteries bad out of the box.
Even with a little low battery you should get two chirps when you install the lanyard.

Yes, the battery has voltage and I do get the two chirps when I install the lanyard. It just beeps when I push the start button. Checked other forums and they said the solenoid, pulled it out and still looked new as well

if you touch both posts of the solenoid together with a screwdriver of something (with battery re-connected and all), does the starter try to spin the motor?

It shouldn't beep when you push the start button.
