2000 RX fouling rear plug with fuel.

Hello

New here and to Seadoos. I have been seeing this girl for a year or so and she has 2 Seadoos. Her husband passed away a while back and now these have become my problem. I am an ASE master certified tech for cars, but these things are a whole other deal.

Anyway. Over the last 2 years this 2000 RX with carbs has been fouling the rear plug with fuel. When he owned it, it would foul once a month and then Once a week and then all the way up to now where it fouls one rear plug after 3 - 5 hours of riding. The boat runs like brand new all the way up until this fouls ( almost instantly ) and then it sputters. Change the plug and drive it the rest of the day. When you pull the plug, it is black and reeks of fuel so I am eliminating oil as a possibility. Like I said, until it fouls the boat runs without a flaw at all throttle positions. It is always the rear plug. Coil? ECM? Carb?

Any help on where to start this diagnosis would be a great plus.

Thanks

John

check the white #2 wire running to the coil

I have 2001rx my problem is that I don't have enough voltage going to the #2 coil. have you check see if it spark when the plugs foul out? let me know. I still trying to figure mine out. Maybe we got the same problem
