Just took my 2000 gtx rfi out for the first time today, and everything went great! Got 55 on the water with my wife and i on the machine!

Question is — Is there any maintenance i can be doing between trips to the lake - i.e. grease fittings and simple things like that ( dont really want to do a whole tear down or throw a lot of new hard parts at things that are not broken at least until the end of this season )

Before I went out I greased the fitting under the flywheel guard as suggested on this site - pto flywheel fitting i believe? ( only saw one fitting, but my manual says some models have two? ) I am also running a fresh set of NGK plugs, fresh fuel and brp oil. Also started the ski out of the water after my ride to let the water puke out. My clymer manual covers several models but does mention checking the impeller housing oil? Other than that just spent a fair amount of time trying to clean everything up real good. And you guys told me how to fog it which i will be doing after tomorrow’s ride.

Is there anything i am missing or can be doing?
Thoughts and suggestions?

Injection oil filter is a good idea. Small 3/32” oil injection lines.
In tank fuel filters.
Jet pump oil.

Thanks for the response.

Am i correct in believing there us only one grease fitting on my drive shaft?

I plan on tackling the things you mentioned during this week.

How do i access the in tank fuel filter?

Yes there is only one grease fitting.

Filters are in the tank. If you pull the glovebox you will see the sending unit that has to be removed.

Ok thanks. I wonder if a fuel filter is the reason for my rough idle. I read mixed answers if the gtx rfi idles on one cylinder or not.

Really not familiar with the machine but it seems to idle rough to me. Smooth as glass everywhere else off idle.

Awesome. I picked up the filters, also fuel filter, rave valve kit, and jet drive oil kit. Kind of mid way through the season but at least I will know where I'm at maitenance wise. Peace of mind.
