i have a 2000 Seadoo GTX RFI. Im having a pretty major issue. It all started 2 years ago. I sank it to the seats. I left the drains out and it filled. I drained the water out. cleaned the hull out and pulled the plugs. Then I attempted to start the pwc with the plugs out and it shot water out of the cylinders. still didnt start though after I put the plugs in. began looking aroudn and found a blown fuse. while I had a cover off the back where the battery terminals meet my father turned the cover over and shorted the whole thing out burning up a huge part of the wireing harness. I change it out and changed out and ran the craft. the craft ran ok for a while then fouled out plugs. What i saw was the craft would get to about 4000RPM then stop. no acceleration beyond that. when I changed the plugs all was good and ran fine. then it started happening again. took it to the shop they found nothing. brought it back to the lake and ran for a while fine. then did it all over again back to the shop again and they said this time they said they found a timing sensor bad changed it. this year we ran it for a while maybe 2 hours and problem happend again. it will go to 4k and stop. then goes 20 3k 2k and then die. when I put it on our lift and run it the full spectrum of RPMs is there. back in water and nothing above 4k. I took it back in this time to a different shop. after reading forums and talking to a few people my fear is my MPEM is blown or confused and needs replacing, or that the pump is messed up somehow. anyone have any ideas or any thing I could look into?
