2000 GTI ECU

I stared blowing the 5 amp fuse on my ecu box any time I put power to it. Took the ECU out of my other ski, ran for over an hour and blew that one. Any ideas?

If yours is the 717 engine, I'd take a look at the rectifier or just replace it. They are cheap. You can check your voltage to the battery with the engine running and see what that looks like. You may have too high a voltage or the rectifire may have internal problems. Good Luck
