Alright. Pretty new to jetskis but pretty mechanically inclined. I’ve currently got my 2000 Sea-Doo 951 torn apart in my garage and everything pulled out of it. Cylinder blew up. While I had everything out I decided that I would go through some other issues. Picked up the ski at the beginning of the season and didn’t have a working fuel gauge. Does anyone know if I should have continuity between the pink and pink/black wire on the fuel baffle? Pretty sure the float is good. Tested, and floats (in gas) but sounds like it had a little liquid in it still. I can’t get a changing resistance off the two wires above. If use my leads at the pink wire and one of the resistors on the board I can get resistance that changes with the position of the float. The pink/black wire I can’t get anything out of. Any ideas?
I also have continuity between the purple and black wire coming out of the gauge. Tried to jump the wire going into the PCB for the baffle to see if the gauge would leg but had no change. Not sure if that’s meaning that the gauge is bad or it’s just the fact that there is about 15 lose connections in the ski at the moment.
While I have the entire ski torn apart, anything else I should do/ look at?
Any insight would be great. Thanks.
