Found 15A Fuse Blown inside Mpem Module replaced fuse
got the two beeps so i think the mpem is still good

the sea doo beeped twice but when i tried to crank it, it blows again

will bad battery cause this fuse to blow or is it in the stator assembly
please help.:reddevil:

Mine did the same a couple of years ago. In my case it was metal shavings in the mag housing shorting out stator. I vacumed out housing and it fixed the problem. Service manual has ohm test to check the stator.

Small metal shavings tend to collect in there, larger chunks can be from starter bendix, worn teeth, etc.

First unplug vts module and try again before going to the trouble of opening up mag housing.

Thank you for your response.

How hard is it to to get into the magneto area

Someone told me you have to have a flywheel key to get under the flywheel cover.

The same person also said you may have to take the whole motor out

please tell me this isnt true.

thanks for your help

First check the ohm readings on mag plug according to test procedure in service manual. If you find something is shorted out then you may have to open up the mag housing to see what's going on.

You don't have to pull engine or flywheel. This is what I did.

1) remove exhaust pipe
2) mark location of front motor mount and shems.
3) remove front mount and block engine up with something like a 2x4.
4) remove mag housing bolts and open up housing. I kept oil pump attached.
5) inspect for metal shavings, broken flywheel and starter teeth, etc.

I have a regualr manual
but i dont think its a service manual
you dont happen to have a pdf file of it do you

thanks for the advice

i just sure hope this will fix the problem
