1999 Speedster SK, engine and gauge promblem

I have a 1999 speedster SK that has rarely been used and the right engine always works, but the left one is cranking but its' not taking. I replaced the spark plug, but it still wouldn't start.
then I checked the both spark plugs to see if it was making sparks but apparently they're not, so i think i have an electrical problem.

The fuel gauge is not working either, any suggestions?

i have the same issue - what was your outcome? problem is it does not even beep with i put the key back on ..
