There are 4 ventilation hoses on my 1999 Sea Doo GTX RFI. 2 under the seat (they are obvious, see attached photo from the manual), but I cannot find a drawing or photo/video on the web that shows how the 2 long hoses in the bow (front) are routed? I hear it doesn’t matter as long as air gets into the hull, but would like to know what the correct installation looks like. Can anyone help? Send a photo of your installation? Thanks!

LOL.... they are a pain. One of the skis the hoses are so stiff you can barely bend them. Hopefully yours are the lighter material. So.... LOOKING FROM THE FRONT OF THE SKI...

One hose plugs into the port on the LEFT side below but about about even with the handle bars. That hose routes to the RIGHT side of the ski (looking from the front) and ties down to the bottom of the hull just forward of the gas tank. It uses a ty wrap.

The port next to the gas cap at the top of the hull, one hose plugs in there and crosses over the top of the OTHER HOSE and gets routed to the LEFT side of the ski just ahead of the gas tank.

If you have a hose that is narrowed down in the middle, that hose is the one that gets mounted to the LEFT side of the hull (at least that's where I put it). You're gonna have to push hard and bend them some so they lock in. you gotta get MEAN. :D :D Good luck !

Thanks Gene... I’ll get knitting tonight when I’m back at the boat... I think I follow... will make sure I take lots of (long) cable ties!... if you can take a photo of your set up, that would be great!

You only need two ty wraps for the bottom in the front. But sometimes the stiff hoses benefit from support. Good Luck !

I think I deciphered the instructions correctly… see attached… right?
