I am posting pictures below of my issues. First, there was water in the top end, a ton of gunk in the RAVE valves and I an leaking water somewhere around my driveshaft. Ultimately the leaking water into the hull is my issue that I cannot seem to resolve, but I'm wondering if I should do a top end rebuild or if I am going to have issues on the lower end as well. It's my first time working on the engine, but I feel confident doing it slowly once I figure out a direction to go in.

As for the leak, I've checked the c-clip, bellow, drive shaft, pressure on carbon filter, two white valves that expel water from the hull...I cannot figure it out, but the leak seems to happen at high speeds.

This ski was my dad's and he gave it to me...he used normal 2-stroke engine oil (marine-the blue stuff) and I will be replacing that with the seadoo oil recommended.

I will also be replacing the fuel injectors & filter. Any tips much appreciated.

Engine isn't too bad. That's normal for raves that haven't been cleaned in a long time. You never know about the bottom end but when you pull the pistons you can see in there. I always clean it really well put some oil in the holes that feed the bearings. Try to make the engine happy. :) Happy engines are good.

Clean the raves, I'd buy the kit as those orings get hard. And of course I'd do a top end. I use WSM parts.

As for the water leak.... I've seen some weird ones. IS THE WATER IN THE SKI WARM? If so... it's coming from the engine so you'd check those hoses first.

For general... I don't know where the water is coming from leaks..... With the ski on the trailer have someone back it into the water for you. YOu sit in the ski... seat off. :D Check for leaks. Leave the ski tied down force it to ride lower. bring a flashlight. :) You might have to try it a few times. Those bailers can leak water into the hull. I've had that happen. My check was to put them into small containers and ride the ski with the seat off. Sure enough mine would put water into the hull when I was turning. Ended up being a missing O-ring on the back of the cone.

How much pressure is on the Hull Seal bellows? If you don't have enough pressure that seal can leak.

Check your exhaust pipe as those round welded plugs are a common source of leaks.

Good Luck !!! Post up what you find !
