Hoping you guys can help here.

Purchased this ski a couple of months ago but only got it in the water this weekend

My issue is as follows

Ski starts and runs fine out of the water on the hose, revs up etc

Ski starts and idles fine in water

As soon as you accelerate, it bogs down and unless you let go of the throttle, it dies

If you feed the accelerator in slowly, you can get it above idle but as soon as you ask for more, it bogs down as above

If you Idle for a while, then feed accelerator in, you can get it up and running fast but within 10 seconds it will bog down and die

IF you hold the choke out a little, it will behave it's self and 'pretty much' run as it should do

Any pointers or tips greatly appreciated, I'm new to ski's and this has put a real dampener on the weekend !

my gts used to do this. its the inturnal carb fillters or fuel selector switch. both problems are caused by the grey fuel lines. if you want rid of the problem forever. replace all the grey fuel lines, the vent line don't matter. you need about 12-15 foot of black fuel line. then take out the fuel seclector switch and clean it( or replace it). then clean and rebuild your carbs with oem kits. it sucks and takes time to do but its worht it for the piece of mind.

There is a step by step guide in the how to stickies if you need detailed help.. Used to have the same problem and after i did what it said i havent had it since.

1. Could be the accelerator pump on the carbs is not functioning correctly. Take the flame arrestor off and look down the throats of the carbs then push the accelerator lever all the way down. You should see gas squirt in the carb's throat. If no gas, then that is part or all of your problem.
2. Could be the fuel selector valve partially clogged.
3. Could be the internal carb filters are clogged.

If the fuel lines are gray - replace them with new lines.
Pull the carbs, completely disassemble and clean including the small internal filters.
Pull and clean the fuel selector valve.
Set you highs and lows to factory setting.
